Hello Sunshine

This little painting is almost one year old. I didn't post it till now because... well I don't actually remember why..... The pictures were uploaded, the unfinished post only needed a text.. Here it is! This is one of my last "petit dolls". It's been so long since I've painted a doll..... Although there are many people who don't like them I think they are not so bad. I used to have so much fun painting dolls. I love them and I'm the Doll Queen! :)) No I'm not kidding. I'll never be able to paint petits like before, you know why? Because the new ones will be even more beautiful ! ;-) Wait till I pass the admission exams at the university this summer ! Then I'll have plenty of time to paint dolls !

Blue gentleness

Little mixed media petit doll made especially for a dear friend of mine. This is nothing less but the image of her guardian angel, a spirit watching over her wherever she goes, as long as she agrees . Cristina, thank you for all the great moments we spent together this summer in Cluj!  Let's meet again and trow a giant party! :-)

Only The Great Circus

A world that is sad and yet so happy and glorious.... A stage full of light yet so dark and mysterious. I think this is quite inspiring. :) Summer passes by and I'm falling deeper and deeper into this cloudy world of mine. Hope I'll be able to get back when school starts.... Stay in touch. Bunny Monster Reloaded

Yes, my friends this a mixed media version of this work over here. Check it out if you don't remember it. I used the same french phrase: "Par ce chemin est passe un petit lapin" :-) and it's based on the same  enigmatic story of the bunny monster, a strange creature discovered recently by scientists. Stay tuned!!

Join the La-la-la Circus

Funny round canvas. I had some awesome mixed media fun creating a circus universe. For this one, I used Self Leveling Gel as a final layer. I personally prefer the wax effect. It's much more whimsical and artistic. Oh, I wish stuffed bunnies could walk, dance, talk, and eat candy........ and own a circus :-)

Carnival Melancholy

New petit doll. I've been missing them recently. The wax effect never disappoints me. I just love the resulting textures and colors! I went crazy again adding various pieces of wrapping: Winsor & Newton ink wrapping, Livorno bus tickets, chocolate wrapping..... It's so much fun :-)

Happy Birthday to Lidia!

This post is dedicated to Lidia, my dear classmate who turned 18 years old last week. :-) I gave her this little mixed-media doll as a present. I really hope she likes it...I'm going to ask her when we meet again after the one-week spring holiday which I can't wait to enjoy with my family in Tuscany. So... this is another painting of mine which found a new sweet home!! Yay :-)

RedNose part one

I felt like painting something happy and dreamy... well this is the result so far. I've already began a new RedNose little mixed media work. I'm thinking about starting a series of carnival paintings. Something shiny, delicious, joyful and pleasant and about sweet candies all over the place.... and happy beings running around. Yeah...really going to give this project a try. Are you eagerly waiting? :@)
