My first Artmark visit. Autumn Auction: Masters of Romanian painting

This week I visited the painting exhibition held at the Artmark building. Those beautiful works of art will be auctioned this month on the 19th at Athenee Palace Hilton in Bucharest. I enjoyed every masterpiece along with my gorgeous classmates and we spent a nice and artistic afternoon together. We visited Artmark, then Galateea Gallery (on the other side of the street) and part of the National Museum of Arts. Of course, I got home exhausted but very very happy.
I wish I had the money to participate at the auction and buy art. Maybe someday I will be part of that world. The world of luxury, art and comfort. But until then, let me enjoy myself spending as much time as I can visiting galleries and museums. There surely must remain time to work and explore my own creative world.
As I was saying, this month Artmark will auction masterpieces signed by Tonitza, Grigorescu, Piliuta, Caltia, Ciucurencu, Pallady and many others. Don't miss the exhibition. We won't have the chance to see those paintings very often if they will be part of private collections.
So here I am surrounded by art and friendly people.... having the chance to absorb so much information in a single day. Is this a dream come true or what?

Don't you think that this is all! Oh no! Stay tuned because the best is yet to come. I promise at least one post for the next week. :-) I am thinking of writing a review including all the art museums in Bucharest.... that, of course after I visit them all... hehehe

Back by the sea

After the two-week course in Bucharest, I returned home to enjoy the most beautiful weather by the sea. Even though I loved being away exploring the capital city, I was glad to come back. Now I have to wait till the 10th September, the day of the admission exam, and also my birthday. hahah I will return to Bucharest then for three days and after that... I hope... for the next three years. It was a great adventure (and... still is) and I treasured every moment of it but for God's sake, I want this whole story to come to an end! I want to be a student and go to sleep without thinking about any exam anymore. At least for a while.
As I was saying, I am enjoying fine weather here in Constanta. The sea is blue, the sky is tall and clear the sun is shining and.... there is nobody around. Tourists seen to have disappeared during those two weeks. In other words, perfect! :)) Strolling around town on a sunny day is a delight.

I came home just in time to say bye-bye to friends who left Romania yesterday for the UK. From now on they are university students in London. I wish them good luck and all the best. I hope to see them soon.
As I am standing by sea I can feel something different in the air. The sun light is not the same, the sky has a deeper color. I am not the same either. Yes, autumn is almost here.

On your marks. Get set. Go !!

All recovered and ready for a new start I've decided to share some photos of my grandma's beautiful garden in the countryside. We paid her a visit last week. Wandering around flowers, orange big pumpkins and colorful butterflies made me feel calm, accomplished. I just love those drops of shiny color which pop out everywhere.
Tomorrow my two-week holiday at home comes to an end as I will be heading to Bucharest in order to attend some painting courses at the University. I can't wait to explore the city which I will very soon call home. Even though I visited Bucharest two or three times, I know very little about it, its streets, parks and museums.
This time I have no doubt that I will be accepted because I will also sign up for the history of arts courses. I love reading a lot, I enjoy writing and studying, ... but I also love painting! I don't know what's going to happen; all I know is that I am happy again and ready to learn new stuff, explore and make new friends. Who knows? Maybe extraordinary things are waiting for me in Bucharest. Maybe the rejection in Cluj was a blessing because now I'm stronger and I feel I learned many many things; and I will never forget my friends there. I am actually staring to enjoy this experience. :-)

I'm so very curious.... I'm going to be here with new posts as soon as I can !

Seashell collection

As I'm living in a city on the Black Sea shore, I've always been fascinated by shells, rocks or pieces of wood and glass I found on the beach. Even now, I can spend hours and hours in the sand searching for this kind of masterpieces. To me, they are truly beautiful, unique. They are my little treasure. Look at those structures, those colors.... There is no greater artist than Mother Nature. My seashell collection reminds me every day that beauty is all around; all we have to do is live the present moment and observe. I love so much living by the sea !!

This is the first post in which I used pictures taken with my macro lens. I really like the effects ;-) More macro pics coming soon....
