Weekend Trip

Yes, this is also a post about my weekend.... a two-day trip to Constanta. It was nice returning home but I felt very tired and nostalgic. I slept and recovered and time passed so fast... At least I had the chance to spend a few moments on the beach. I missed it so much. The sea is part of my inner soul structure. I will always return wherever I go, no matter how far. The smell of the sea is the smell of home.  Nevertheless, I felt like there is nothing left for me to do in Constanta. Now I am busy making Bucharest part of me, part of my art, my life and my soul. This is a wonderful adventure. I love my new friends, I love the hours spent in the studio. I don't have much time to think about what's happening because it all happens so fast! A month has already passed since I started university and I still feel like a newcomer with no experience. Yes, there are many goals waiting to be accomplished. I wish I had the time to post daily... really....

And still, the sea is always in my heart . White seagulls fly through my mind.

People I would like to meet

Those 5 portraits were presented along with other 21 paintings and drawings at the interview, which was actually the last admission exam at UnArte in Bucharest. To me it seemed those were the most appreciated ones... maybe because they are spontaneous. They are not portraits of people in real life, but images of my own personality. They are different parts of me and independent beings at the same time. Who are those people, what are they thinking, are they happy? I would like to know that, I would like to meet them.

I've decided it's not possible for me to study both painting and history of arts at the same time so I've chosen painting and here I am.... at the beginning of a wonderful journey. I still haven't found a nice place to stay so I'm still searching. I will be heading to Bucharest tomorrow with my parents and look for an apartment all day long. I hope this problem will be solved soon because there are many other things to be done. 

Even though the situation seems clear now, I still am pretty confused. How should I feel now? I am excited, nostalgic, sad, happy, energized, worried, blue, pink, yellow and all the other colors at the same time. 

I could use a long vacation to a sunny island in the middle of the ocean right now! Oops the weather is rainy, autumn is here. Time for me to start the painting courses.... in a week. hehehe and I love it. Yes, I do love the present moment.

It's a deal

A lot happened since my last post on the blog. Guess what...? Level 2: university student. Well, yes after a long summer, I finally made it. I passed my exams in Bucharest and I was accepted, not only in the painting class but also in the history of arts. Which means: double agent, double student, double success, double trouble.... and... a big double chocolate cake for me at the end! hihihi

I feel great, relieved! Even though summer is over, the weather is still sunny and warm enough during daytime. The sky is blue and.... I have so many things to do! Find a place to live in the city which is from now on my second home, buying stuff, organizing, cleaning, replacing, preparing for my new life. But who cares? Why should I worry, even for a second? I feel fine and energized!

Looking back, I think it was a wonderful experience with a happy end... because good luck will always be by my side as long as I have on open mind and a loving heart. 

I regret nothing. This is what's best for me for sure. I learned so much, I met new people, I made new friends. In other words this was one of the most exciting holidays of my life.... and still is.  

Now I can read as many books and watch as many movies as I want! My reloaded September vacation, here I come!  The beach is more beautiful than ever. It just couldn't have been better.

Last post before the Cluj challenge

As you might know I've decided to become a student at the University of Arts and Design (UAD) in Cluj-Napoca. Well, the admission exams begin Monday! Tonight I'll be heading to Cluj with my parents and brother. It will be a great challenge and experience. I've been working very hard lately, spending hours and hours in the studio on my own. Eventually, my teacher chose the best paintings which are going to travel along with me as my portfolio. I'm trying to be as optimistic as possible and think only of happy stuff... but I must admit that I am afraid that I'm not going to make it...

I like the idea so much that I'm going to submit as soon as possible! More about this after I return home from Cluj. ;-)

Engraving experience

Today I'm sharing some photos of my most recent experience.

First pics represent the result of hand engraving, a stamp. As you can see, I printed it on paper. I used some special tools but a knife is just as good.

Next, I used the traditional "pointe seche" technique on plastic CD protection plates, which means I simply scratched the surface with a needle.

This project is dedicated to Maria Tanase (check out wiki) one of the most famous Romanian singers of all time. Her unique singing style and beautiful voice marked Romanian history. 

The bird is the symbol of a free joyful spirit who makes life magical with the power of it songs.

Back online

With so many things to be done till the end of this school year I completely neglected my blog for... months. Time passed fast and it's hard for to believe that my last post here was in February. I don’t feel so good about it. So it seems that today is the magnificent day of my comeback!

Don't you think that I've slept my days away since then! Well I haven't been the most hardworking but I haven't wasted time either. I've decided to show you, my friends, some details from my recent works and they're not as whimsical as you might expect. As I'm preparing for an exciting challenge (university exam, this summer in Cluj-Napoca) I've started practicing portraits. Even thought they're not so academic, they sure are different from my usual artwork. 

Actually school work and exam preparation kept me away from the blog. It's not so fun to be busy but the good thing is that you never get bored. And I'm reaching the end of my senior year so prom on the way!  Party again after so much time!

I promise this time it won't be long till my next post. And I'm thinking of changing the blog name and logo too...

Update Operatiunea "Atestat"

Dupa atata timp de tacere, poate ar fi cazul sa va starnesc din nou curiozitatea :-D Am inceput atestatul, adica realizarea unui numar de lucrari pentru a primi diploma care atesta terminarea unui liceu de arte.

Momentan va dau un singur cuvant, un singur indiciu referitor la noua serie de lucrari. Cotidian. Va spune ceva? Fiti pe faza pentru detalii!

Christmas Cards part 1

Dandu-mi seama de golul apocaliptic de pe blog (azi se face o luna de la ultima mea postare) m-am decis sa arat publicului larg 4 felicitari de Craciun facute de mine la atelierul de grafica de la scoala. Au fost trimise la un concurs si, din cat mi-a fost dat sa aflu pana acum... am primit si un premiu misterios. :-) Ramane sa dezleg mica taina dupa vacanta de iarna pe care am asteptat-o asa de mult si in cursul careia sunt tare lenesa (ca intotdeauna deatfel hahaha). Da, aceasta este prima parte a postarii cu felicitari. A doua va aparea din tenebre pana la finalul lunii, promit! 

 Productia a fost nemaintalnita :)

As vrea sa multumesc acuarelelelor, pixurilor, sclipiciurilor, tusurilor etc Arigato!

 Ursul Knok este scandinav si va iubeste din tot sufletul lui de animal somnoros. 

 Calutul nazdravan, martoaga mancatoare de jaratic.....

 Purceii au fost pe primul plan evident.... Mai putini carnati, mai multi porci salvati!
